asdfjkl;

Ok so obviously I didn't know what to name this blog, but I've decided to avoid packing and write a quick blurb. So this past weekend was kind of quite and we didn't do a whole lot. But Monday night I had my first dream in Spanish! That's supposed to be a sign of fluency and I couldn't be more excited about it!!! My American friends here were more excited than I was, but they said that it's such a good thing. And today when I was on campus, I stopped to talk to one of my guy friends from Chile and he told me that my Spanish has definitely gotten better; and when I mentioned it to Daniella when I got home she said that it definitely has. EEEEEK! :) I'm more than ecstatic that I'm getting better! I know that I'm practicing more and more but I guess the only things that I'm picking up on that I'm doing differently is learning new phrases from different countries. But, AH, I can't even begin to express how proud I am of myself, I know that sounds conceded but I'm really not trying to be! This is what I'm doing with the rest of my life and I need to know that I can do it well! In other news, I went and got a manicure with my roommate, Carolina, today. She is such a sweetheart and I'm so glad that I have someone I can be girly with and we get along so well. I'm going to have a life-long friend in her and if I'm lucky I might come back to Barcelona after my semester here is done and visit her, which would be just fine with me :)
So tomorrow my friend, Taylor, and I leave for a weekend trip to Marrakech, Morocco, yes that's right...I'M GOING TO AFRICA! This is my first trip outside of Spain and I'm SO excited to go! Taylor, oddly enough goes to school at Elon University and lives on the same street that I do here in Villaviciosa. She and I have a VERY similar schedule so we've been spending a lot of time together and we have a lot in common. For example, she's the oldest of 6 and loves to travel like I do, haha hence why we're going to Morocco together. I'm so excited to go, hopefully we'll get to ride a camel or something! I know we're going to the beach on Saturday but we don't have definite plans. Our riad that we're staying at has a pool and is reallyyyyy pretty, well according to the pictures is.
So my school here, UEM, is apparently really famous. The students here get a lot of cool real world practice in their majors. And there was a press conference this past weekend and the film students got to go and film it and the quality of their work is really good. We got to watch it in class and it was awesome! The link to the broadcast is right hurrr: UEM IS IMPORTANT Unless you speak Spanish you most likely won't understand it but it's still really cool because it was a big press conference dealing with the government and my school's logo is all over the video!
March is going to be a VERY busy month for me. This first weekend I'm going to Morocco, next weekend some of us girls from the house are going to Vallencia, which is the south of Spain for a festival called "Las Fallas" and then the next weekend I'm in the midst of planning another trip and then the final weekend my Granna and Papaw will be here to start my spring break. I can't even begin to explain how excited I am for that! We are going to tour Madrid and then go to Rome for the majority of the week! WOOOOH! I am SUCH  traveling mama!
Well I really should go and start packing but I will update my blog when I get home from Morocco on Sunday! LOVE YOU GUYS!
